The Keeper's House brings together a host of different elements under the same roof; gastronomy, artists, art lovers, food lovers and lovers of a well made martini.
The Restaurant: An ever changing modern British menu focuses on seasonality and foraged ingredients; with plenty of interesting elements throughout the menu mirroring the innovation that has been at the heart of The Royal Academy from its very inception.
Intimate and soothing at the same time, this hidden sanctuary seems to encourage time to slip away over a long lunch...
The Shenkman Bar and Garden: A creative space with outstanding cocktails from a constantly evolving list created by our expert bartenders. Of course, if you fancy a perfectly made martini or a classic Negroni, then our experienced team are happy to mix your favourite drink: The Shenkman Bar is for cocktail lovers, whatever your preferred style.
The Shenkman Bar opens up onto the garden, a lush oasis designed by renowned landscaper Tom Stuart Smith — a hidden gem to transport you away from the crowds of Piccadilly to beautiful natural surroundings.
The Sir Hugh Casson Room & Belle Shenkman Lounge: Beautifully refurbished, the Sir Hugh Casson Room is the heart and soul of the Royal Academy for Friends. The Belle Shenkman Lounge is a more intimate space in Keeper’s House, a good spot to kick back and unwind.
"In my 25 years in the business, I have rarely felt so excited about a project. It is a privilege to work with the Royal Academy, its Artists, and Friends to create a venue as thrillingly diverse as Keeper’s House. I am pleased that the Royal Academy have embraced our modern British approach to the menus and drinks in the new Restaurant, Bar and private rooms.” - Oliver Peyton
